 ANSWERS TO OTHER POSSIBLE QUESTIONS

What ages/grades go to your winter camps?

pursuit is open to 6th grade through high school students

Do you offer financial assistance?

If you need to seek financial assistance for your student to go to camp, please pick up a scholarship application at the guest services table at nfc or click here for more about our scholarshipsThen turn it in to the church office attention Jenny Turner. Someone will contact you to discuss your situation. Please note that it is very uncommon for us to provide scholarships for the entire amount of camp, and has only been made possible by specifically directed gifts from those within the community. Therefore, a minimum $50 deposit will still be required to reserve your spot at the time of application registration.

Can someone come to camp who is not a member of your ministry?

Resonate Camps are designed for the students of NFC and their friends; therefore, we do welcome visitors.  Guests at our camps will feel connected to the students and leadership of resonate, even if they have no prior relationship with our ministry.  In fact this is one of the best places for students to get connected to others and especially to Jesus.

Can I bring a friend to camp?

Yes…this is one of the most effective times to introduce them to your friends and Jesus.

Do I need to send any money to camp with my daughter or son?

Campers will be provided with 3 meals a day and a light snack in the evening, so no money will be needed. There is a latte stand and a gift shop at the camp that campers are allowed to spend money at if they choose. You may also send snacks with your young people to keep in their rooms. We suggest a minimal amount of sugar please, for the leader’s sake.  We will be taking offerings during our services as well if you want to send your students prepared to give.

Can I come up for just the evening services?

No. Due to our increasing numbers, there is not room for people to visit camp for individual services or for partial camp attendance.  Plus any person who comes to camp results in us being charged for the time they are present on the facility.  We also have this in place to ensure the safety of all our campers, the only adult volunteers who are present have been background checked and trained for this event.

Can I send mail or packages to my student at camp?

Yes! We welcome any letters or packages you might want to send (send them in advance so they arrive by Friday the 13th of February) - please label them: Attention: Resonate Winter Camp pursuit, with your young person's name clearly printed. Send Mail to:

Lake Retreat Camp & Conference Center

27850 Retreat-Kanaskat Road SE
Ravensdale, Washington 98051 USA

Can I drive myself to camp?

Students are not allowed to drive themselves to and from camp, however if there are special circumstances, such as an athletic commitment or family emergency, a parent may contact Jenny Turner to arrange for an alternative to the bus transportation.

Who do I contact with questions about camp?

Pastor Thad or Jenny Turner
