Dear Student and/or Parent:
We at resonate desire to unite our generation to God and each other. Throughout the year there are a couple events that do this most effectively. We understand that for some finances are an obstacle between students and these great opportunities. The Bible says that “you will reap what you sow”, so we try to help with financial assistance (sowing into the lives of students)! At this time we have two events that we provide partial scholarships for (Summer Camp and Winter Camp). These two events provide a great atmosphere to grow and develop relationships with each other and the Lord.
On the backside of this paper there is an ‘application for scholarship’. While giving scholarship money we look at the following things:
1. Has the student made an effort to provide finances, or is this simply a matter of choice/prioritizing their money to something other than this event...resulting in the lack of funds? (you can feed a man a fish and feed him for a day or you can teach a man to fish and feed him for life)
2. Are there still finances available? (scholarships are offered on a first come, first serve basis)
3. Has the student already been involved in a mission’s trip, choir tour or camps that another student has not been able to participate in because of finances? (i.e. did this student go to a soccer camp that cost $250 for 3 days or a $2,000 missions trip and now can’t afford the church camp?)
We look at these things and then decide whether to award a partial scholarship or not. Full scholarships are not provided unless an individual desiring to give scholarship money expresses it is specifically for this student and for their going to the retreat or ministry function.
Please fill out this form and turn it in along with your deposit and registration. This must be turned in prior to the registration deadline. Late registrations will be considered for scholarships only if there are ample funds remaining.
Uniting our Generation to God,
Pastor Thad Huff
